Everest Africa was formed in 1995 to provide a road transport service from the port of Durban to both within South Africa and across its borders into Sub-Saharan Africa.
Based in Durban the company is well positioned to manage any form of cargo that requires transportation by road. Everest Africa boasts a daily presence at the various borders namely Beit Bridge and Chirundu at which points we employ competent staff to deal with cross border logistics for cargo of varied value.
The company has found itself well engaged in the transportation of the ff:
• Bulk crude oils (edible)
• Acids (hazardous products)
• Ore (copper; manganese; iron) etc.
• Animal feed (bulk molasses; maize/ wheat bran) etc.
• UNHCR (food relief program)
• Fuels (petro;; diesel & Jet A1 aviation fuel)
• Fertilizers (hazardous & non-hazardous)
Everest Africa played a major role in providing bulk road tankers for the transport of fuels to Zambia during the re-commissioning of their refineries after it demise from fire. Almost all fuels were loaded from Natref, Sasolburg and lasted for approximately two years during which time appropriate equipment were utilized which meet with requirements to transport hazardous chemicals.
Everest Africa prides itself in maintaining consistent transit times thereby ensuring almost precise planning and production and cost projection for their valued clients. The equipment utilized is of the best quality and serviced regularly for optimum performance and timeous delivery. Dedicated back-up relations have been built over the years which assist in speedy recovery of vehicles during break downs or other un-for-seen events that may occur on all routes that a vehicle may be on.
All vehicles are fitted with Netstar Geo-tracking and surveillance systems which account for the whereabouts of vehicles at short notice.
Everest Africa is placed in a strong financial position, and is willing to embark on any expansion opportunity within the transport or allied industry that may present itself. A collective experience of approximately twenty five years stands it in position, to overcome any challenge it may be faced with, within the industry.

The company fleet comprises of 18 vehicles comprising of mechanical horses; tankers and flat deck trailers. It employs 26 full time staff and various contracted and casual staff at various different countries the vehicles are sent to. No cargo type is too small or too large for Everest to handle. A database of all transport operators (normal and abnormal carriers) within the countries of operation is always on hand and results in timeous collection and delivery, also assisting in meeting tight deadlines to ports or projects at market related rates.
All enquiries are responded to within six work hours from time of receipt. Everest Africa carries “Goods In-Transet Insurance” to the value of R500 000. All additional relevant insurances and permits in accordance to legislation in the different countries are arranged timeously for the vehicles utilized. In addition we have a 5 million rand product liability cover.
